You can also get useful information from Sustainable Food Lancashire - building on existing food related work, identifying gaps and working together to address a range of food issues, from food poverty to food waste.identify and develop initiatives to further improve the food system.
Growing Health is a national project run by Garden Organic and Sustain to see how community food growing can be routinely used by the health and social care services as a way of promoting health and wellbeing.

In Morecambe East Gate Project supports food related charities and creates community using gardening and food themed events.
Organic Veg Club West Lancs .www.organicvegclub.co.uk Meadow Lane, Burscough, Lancashire.
Members can attend volunteer days where they can give a hand with jobs around the farm such as sowing, planting, weeding and harvesting. Sessions usually take place every Thursday and alternate Sundays down on the field on Meadow Lane on the outskirts of Burscough.
Gleaning Network UK is active in Lancashire and aims to reduce food waste in farms by co-ordinating volunteers, food growers and food redistribution charities around the UK to harvest and transport surplus produce to those most in need.
